  After 15 years of high-level experience in haute horlogerie, Maximilian Büsser left the corporate world to create his own version of utopia: MB&F.  MB&F is a Creative Label based around one very simple and fundamental concept: each year, to assemble dedicated Collectives of talented independent horological artisans, creators and professionals - all friends - to design and craft a radical and totally original horological masterpiece.
  
  Nurturing teams of talented individuals, harnessing their passion and creativity and crediting each individual's essential role, enables MB&F to use synergy to become much greater than the sum of its parts.
  
  MB&F encourages each member of the collective to reach out to their child's perspective of the world; it is a playground where they are surrounded by friends sharing the same sense of awe, amazement and everything-is-possible attitude.  "What's the pleasure of an experience if we can't share it with friends?"
  
  Horological Machine No.1 is MB&F's three dimensional machine which tells the time.  
  
  Movement engineer Laurent Besse,  working closely with independent watchmaker and AHCI member Peter Speake-Marin, took Maximilian Büsser's radical concept and turned it into a micro-mechanical work of art.
  
  Four mainspring barrels in parallel enable lower torque in each mainspring; thus decreasing wear, improving isochronism and increasing movement longevity - all while maintaining an enormous 7 days reserve of power.  A central tourbillon elevated above the dial creates its own center stage.  An architecturally inspired three-dimensional case, is as much, if not more, art and sculpture as micro-engineering.
   
  HM 1 houses a totally original movement with a radical new design - 376 parts and 81 functional jewels - yet only 30 per year will be crafted over the next three years.
